Ride The Tour de France Femmes

Join us for 6 days to see the opening stages or the mountains — or come for 11 days and see the whole thing!

A Thomson trip is nothing without the cycling and we’ve got a stunning route planned for you. Supported by our all-female staff you’ll ride the race routes in Brittany and the Loire Valley, the Col du Granier, Col de la Madeleine, Col de Joux Plane and Col du Corbier in the Alps – and a couple of spectacular rides in the Alps around Lake Annecy and over the Col de la Croix Fry and Col des Aravis.

It all kicks off with a lap of the finishing circuit on Stage 1, giving you a taste of being in the pro peloton as the atmosphere builds before the race. The following day will be an undulating loop around the historic town of Chateaulin, culminating in a ride across the Official Finish Line. A moment to race your hands in celebration!

Riding across the Start Line of Stage 4 in Samur will be a real thrill; as crowds wait for the race to begin and the carnival atmosphere gets into full flow. We’ll ride the first 40km of the official race route, taking in the beautiful Chateaux of the Loire Valley.

As always, when we hit the Alps you can expect things to go upwards! We’ll take in one of our favourite Alpine loops around the shoer of Annecy Lake to Faverges. We’ll conquer the mighty Col de la Croix Fry and the Col des Aravis, two iconic climbs of the region.

Save some climbing legs for Stage 7 and the wonderful climb of the Col du Granier, the summit finish for the day. We’ll join the race route with 50km to go and take on the famous climb ahead of the race itself. To climb with fans cheering you on is a magical experience you’ll cherish forever.

A real bucket list day comes with Stage 8 and the summit finish on the Col de Madeleine. An average grade of over 8% will greet you as you take on and conquer this legendary Tour de France mountain, one to brag about when you return home!

The final day is another day of climbing with two more legends; the Col de Joux Plane and the Col du Corbier. We’ll ride 75km of the race route and cross the Finish Line ahead of the eventual yellow jersey winner. What a way to conclude a trip to the best race on the planet!

We will be there to witness the entire with LIVE race-viewing of 7 stages, including the 4 Opening Stages in Brittany and the Loire Valley, and the final 3 Mountain stages in the Alps. Join us for 11 days or choose from two other 6 day trips that take in either the start of mountain stages.
