Absolutely loved riding in Colombia with TBT. Incredible country with good roads, tons of bikers, incredible scenery, and endless climbs. Ride leaders, logistical support, and the Thompson experience from start to finish was flawless. I will be back for as many trips as my legs will allow!

The Gran Canaria trip was some of the most beautiful yet difficult climbs and descents I have ever experienced. Every route was a unique experience offering endless breathtaking views. The Thomson team does a wonderful job with preparation and support and the food (both in hotel and support) was top notch!

This trip was a gift from my wife which I had never expected. As a life long cycling fan from North America, to experience "holy week" of the spring classics in France, Belgium and the Netherlands was epic. The Thomson experience was a tour de force.

Up close with the riders on the Paterberg, in the infield at the Roubaix Velodrome, and challenging yourself to sprint to the corner to start a cobbled climb.... the spring classics are the real deal and the measure of every cyclist. I could not have imagined just how care free a trip could be. Thomson did it all for me. Race registrations, packet pick ups, transport, race viewing passes, food and nutrition while riding, AND the guides were at the front of the group taking all the wi d everyday and making sure to get some glamour shots of us riding as well. Then, while we were tired out and getting ready for dinner, the tireless crew cleaned and maintained the bikes for the next day. Chapeau!

Such an iconic experience for the Spring Classics. Having viewed and admired these events from afar for my entire cycling life to riding and experiencing them in VIP fashion will be forever remembered. The ease by which such a challenging experience was delivered is a testament to the professionalism of the entire team, from Thomson to the attendees themselves. I have attended other Cycling Tours and Thomson is by far the best. Every aspect was above my expectations. This includes (accommodations, meals, staff, and routes) We will be attending another Thomson tour in the near future.

Overall a phenomenal trip. The routes were challenging which made it super eventful and pushed us to our limits which is what we wanted. The staff was top notch and was always there to assist us in our times of need… motivation, a slight push up the hill etc… Will do Thomson again!

EPIC Trans French Alps certainly lived up to its EPIC description! What an amazing week summiting some of the classic Tour climbs. The landscape was inspiring and breathtaking. Everyone was beaming at the end of the week after we reached the summit of Alpe d'Huez.

While the trip had it's challenges due to the weather, the Thomson team did a great job of juggling the issues and making it a great trip. While the weather hindered our ability to enjoy some of the great scenery on a couple of the days (particularly Day 2), we were able to make the Galibier work, which was fantastic. While the history and scenery of the route, and each individual climb, was amazing, I really appreciated the efforts of the Thomson team. They worked very hard to assist in any way possible. Given some of the weather challenges, this element was critical to the success and my enjoyment of the ride. They were always available to assist with bike issues (i.e. flat tires), to provide food and drink, and to support the riders with additional clothing for the variable weather conditions. Additionally, it was a pleasure to get to know each of the staff members on an individual basis as the trip progressed. They were helpful, fun to spend time with, and even provided great recommendations for follow on travel I had scheduled in Spain after the Thomson trip.

The staff is exceptionally outstanding, committed, energetic, exciting, and extremely friendly. The best part of the experience. Mixing the Trans trip with the Epic provides great options and flexibility, and a larger group of riders.

The routes were inspiring and the Thomson staff made it possible for me to accomplish more than I ever thought possible on a bike. Looking forward to the next one!

This was our tenth Thomson trip and it truly lived up to the definition of "epic". Sensational scenery, challenging rides, and the best support staff, bar none. We experienced unusually cold and snowy weather and the staff rose to the occasion with positive attitudes and smiling faces. They ensured that everyone had an incredible experience and was able to still enjoy the beauty and challenge of the French Alps. High quality rental bikes and top-notch mechanical support is always available and well planned / executed routes through the classic Cols of the Tour de France. No one does this business better than Thomson!

My second Epic Alps trip in 3 years and these remarkable climbs and descents and the Thomson touch assure that i'll come back for more. This was a fantastic trip from beginning to end. The staff was incredible. The rides and routes were excellent. But what I enjoyed most was the ability to make the trip my own - the freedom to ride faster, slower, skip certain climbs, attack others, etc.

An amazing route hitting a number of TdF climbs I have only seen on TV. Add in the stunning views and a supporting team of enthusiastic and professional guides made for a week that exceeded expectations.

Epic Trans French Alps trip was way above and beyond expectations. I had been dreaming of riding in French Alps since I watched Greg LeMond and Bernand Hinault battle it out on Aple d Huez in 1986. I always loved riding bikes as a kid, but that episode of Wide World of Sports would inspire a lifetime addiction to cycling for me and always wanting to ride the famous TDF climbs. As serious cyclists, we feel like we have found our home at Thomson Tours. The routes are challenging and incredibly well thought out. The nightly briefings are so helpful. The hotels are amazing. The van support is on point. The thought that goes into which climbs to do each day is so good. The bikes are kept in perfect shape. However, the aspect that makes Thomson truly a trip of a lifetime is their guides. They are so encouraging, funny, focused, intelligent, hard working: they are what made this trip a joy! They helped us achieve incredible things.

All aspects of the trip were wonderful. The scenery was spectacular, most of the roads had very little traffic, and the rolling terrain was challenging, but fun! I finished every ride with a sense of accomplishment. The food exceeded my expectations. I also really enjoyed learning about Scotland from Peter. The fact that Peter and Rob were close friends also added to the overall experience of the trip.

I've been on three Thomson trips, and counting, and after every trip I say to myself "that was the best trip ever!" EPIC Trans Swiss delivered...and was indeed the best trip ever!!! Trans Swiss exceeded all of my expectations re. luxury accommodations, "bucket list" climbs, wonderful meals, and attentive staff. Post trip, I've tried to think of things to improve the trip, to offer as constructive criticism, but I can't think of anything. Alex and Ferran were amazing! Kind and attentive to every detail! And as is the case with all of my Thomson trips, I arrived amongst a group of strangers and left with new friends! As an avid cyclist, Thomson checks all of the boxes for me! I'll keep coming back!

Tuscany Gravel is a nice combination of challenging climbing and fast descents through the fantastic Tuscan countryside. Support from the team at Thomson was great as usual and I highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in a fun gravel adventure through Tuscany.

This trip (as all your trips are) was 110% outstanding. Each and everyone of the staff members are extremely, kind, generous, knowledgeable and patient. I've had the pleasure of having Gilem, and Neil as ride leaders in the past and their youth and friendship is so precious to observe and share. It was my first time meeting Arnau and although I had heard about him before, he was incredibly kind and patient. I bow to Belen... our personal walkiing and rolling historian. For me, Llibert absolutely nailed this private trip. He did a great job of finding quiet but very challenging routes, several of the hotels were absolutely outstanding, and he found some spectacular restaurants. All in all, the best Thomson trip I've done to date!

Thomson provided us with another exceptional cycling trip and we are already planning our next one. Thomson’s tours are definitely world leaders in cycling tours. Their organisation is seamless and their support is complete. The rides are varied, quiet, scenic and challenging. The accommodation is all first class , surprisingly you nightly with another amazing hotel. The transfers are easy and well organised which makes the experience of changing accommodation easy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and great cyclists! All together leaving you time to enjoy and challenge yourself and make new friends. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and would definitely recommend them.

I love the small roads with minimal traffic. Some of the roads in the mountains were one lane with no cars at all. I love that. The Thomson people guides and drivers are all wonderful and add immensely to the experience. Too bad Peter couldn’t join us, but we were well taken of.

After 20 years of riding with Thomson, I have thoroughly enjoyed every one. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure all your needs are met. The routes are beautiful and challenging. Peter finds so many quiet roads, one day we saw more wild horses and cows than cars! There are some absolutely stunning views and hotels on this trip. And these are the best rental bikes of all the trips over the years. Overall an amazing trip!

It's been 5 years since my last Thomson trip in the Dolomites. This trip did not disappoint. I can't say enough great things about how the staff was able to provide the highest level of service for all the guests. They were warm, friendly, accommodating and great riders. The Porto to Costa da Morte trip went beyond my expectations. The traffic free roads, beautiful scenery to pedal through, top of the line hotels, food was superb, and the best cycling support staff ever. When you ride with TBT, you ride with your extended family. Stories shared at the dinner table go beyond the days cycling adventure. To be among a group of people with the same passion for cycling and exploring new roads as you is spectacular. On these trips, I always come away with a new vigor to ride, more friends and sense that I have a "family" in Europe. Thank you Peter for you have done and kudos to your staff!.

The Porto to Costa da Morte trip is an excellent adventure, constantly up and down on twisty little roads, challenging but doable. The accommodations were first rate and the Thomson staff was outstanding as always.

Expectations exceeded ! Loved how the expert guides and support staff anticipated my needs. The route from Porto to Costa de Morte was a thrill. Such a great mix of the roads less travelled and I loved all those wee bumps along the way.

Thomson trips just keep getting better. We had some rough weather, but they handled it so we all rode as we wanted and still had a great trip. Only Thomson could pull that off.

This was the third edition of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, and this is my trip to watch. I can’t stop now! Thomsons provides a great experience with superb staff to support the clients. If you’re a fan of women’s professional cycling, you need to be on this trip!

Best vacation I've had in a long long time. I had so much fun. From the start of the tour, everything was catered for. The Thomson staff was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and supportive. Down to the minute, each event was planned for and briefed daily. We could also access the daily lientery via our phones. Outside of the planned activities there was time to explore on our own. I rented a bike and loved it. The bike, had seen some use but was in great condition and I had no issues with it at all. The bike had been pre-adjusted for my size before I arrived and required no further adjustment once I rode it and checked it out. The ride support excellent; typically, we had one bike guide and one other staff member followed our group in a van. The bike routes were pre-planned and you could download them to your phone. Our group took lots of breaks to look at the scenery and wait for others. When we made stops, the van was always available for drinks or food, if needed. The hotel accommodations and food were excellent. I'd do this trip every year if I could.

Best thing about the trip was Llibert and the team. Fantastic and supportive.

Expensive trip, but worthy every penny for the experience to witness the Tour and enjoy great riding in a world class venue. Well done. See you again in Espana 2026!

This was my third trip with Thompson. All have been exceptional experiences that I would recommend to anyone interested in bike tours catering to more serious riders. I greatly appreciate the ability to have an electric bike to ride the first 3 days to ensure I could ride and then the ability to change to a road bike. I really cannot say enough good things about our experience. It was truly exceptional. We had fairly high expectations going in, and the team managed to exceed them each and every day. The rides were well-planned, the accommodations were excellent, the staff was stellar, and the team did a great job dealing with unexpected circumstances (like having the road to the Col de Nivolet washed out). We will definitely be doing more trips with Thomson in the future.

As a non cyclist, we had plenty of activities, adventures, and enjoyable things to do yet still felt a part of the overall group. The cycling guides worked so hard supporting the guest cyclists. They all seemed to work well together as a team, were very friendly, energetic, and encouraging to all levels of rides and cyclists.

Truly the trip of a lifetime. The trip leaders and guides were amazing, the support was phenomenal. I was able to climb iconic mountains that I would not have been able to do on my own.

I was asked to help collect cash tips, then was told I was also responsible for saying a few words on behalf of the guests. As the oldest member of the guests on this trip, as well as a rookie , I spoke about the personal experiences that I had with Scotty and Julia that made my trip one of the most special moments in my life, and after talking with many of the guests, that most everyone had similar experiences with other staff that contributed to their own experiences. It is clear that the staff love what they do and work so hard to make the trip the best for all of the guests. They did an incredible job of adapting to problems encountered during the week. I felt like, at the end of the week, I had made new friends for life, both guests and staff members. The rides were amazing, the Alps breathtaking and the greatest physical challenge I ever encountered in my life. Let’s do it again!

This was my first experience cycling in Europe, and it was fantastic. The rides were epic, and we had the extra thrill of watching the pros on multiple stages. The Thomson team was efficient, organized and enthusiastic. I just returned home and am already planning my next trip!

If you’ve been considering signing up for one of these Tour de France trips, first of all - do it! And secondly, do it with Thomson. They are simply the best. My friends and I talked about it for years and finally decided to go. Such an incredible experience! The logistics can be mind boggling but Thomson makes it seem easy. The support on the rides is first class. The staff is top notch. The food is great and the hotels are excellent. Finally, the access to the Tour stages and riders is up close and personal. We had such a great week and it would be an easy decision to go again.

You went out of your way to accommodate me beginning with Nancy flexibility in providing both an e bike and regular bike, the staffs cheerfulness in lugging both bikes for me during our stay, The mix of viewing and riding was just right.

This was my first ever bike tour and one of the first things I did after was begin researching another with Thomson. Their connection with cycling in Europe seems unparalleled. Most of the guides are from Europe and some are former pro riders. I can't say enough about the Thomson Trip to Italy. The landscapes and rides didn't disappoint. Most importantly, the Thomson staff on this trip were exceptional. Robert, Xavi, Ferran, Nil, and Julia were so well-prepared for everything, provided exceptional support as well as fantastic ride camaraderie.

This was my first Thomson trip and the cycling was epic! I loved the challenging routes, beautiful hotels and delicious food. But in the end, it was our beloved guides and camaraderie amongst friends, old and new, that made this trip memorable!

This was our favourite cycling tour trip we have ever done. The hotels, bike routes were fantastic, food was great, but most of all our tour guides went above and beyond in putting this together as a private tour and we felt lucky to be able to learn about and explore their respective homes regions. This trip was truly one of the most magical weeks of my life. Don’t get me wrong, it was much more challenging and difficult than I had anticipated. Being a road cyclist my entire life I really did not know what to expect for a gravel trip. I would say the terrain was more technical than I had expected, but once I learned that I had the option to put my bike in the truck for the most difficult gravel descents , It put my mind at ease. The scenery and the staff and the hotels and the organization was out of this world. We really lucked out and had the three best Guides anyone could ask for. I would absolutely do a tour with this company again ! Thank you !!!

I’ve been on other Trips and this felt more custom, more intimate. Thomson Is for experienced cyclists. I’m not sure what I expected, but Thomson exceeded my expectations.

Loved this trip and was originally hesitant about choosing e-bikes over road bikes but glad we did. The bikes we had were absolutely amazing and brand new. We haven’t stopped talking about the trip and it’s been almost a week since we finished!

This was a great trip for me. I am a 76 year old male that signed up for this tour and then went out and started training. This was a bucket item for me. With regard to the riding, the Thomson staff were great - they were helpful, encouraging, friendly.

Absolutely wonderful experience! The trip from beginning to end to us through some beautiful climbs and descents, and viewing areas for the tour. Having our own private areas for viewing was insane, a once in a lifetime experience. The staff was outstanding, very understanding, great guides, and just wonderful people. Access to the Tour de France is incredible! I would never have gotten those experiences without this tour group! The staff were all incredible. I can’t express how amazing these people are! I do want to see the non-rider program developed to be an equivalent level experience as the rider program. Either that or don’t charge the same. Shout out to Maria for making the best out of what she had and having such patience for a very vocal group! She could really make the non-rider program spectacular!

Thomson bike tours exceeded every expectation I had of what a bike tour could be. This trip fulfilled a 35 year desire I had to see the tour, and every aspect of the trip was first class. The guides often anticipated what we needed or desired, and this speaks to their experience, and professionalism. At times things were so fantastic that I was overcome with emotion, and joy because I couldn't believe what an excellent experience this was. The day after I returned home I woke up in bed, and wondered if I had dreamed the whole thing, it was truly that fantastic!

An enormous amount of fun. And grinding hard work, too. Non-Europeans will learn a lot about the different skills needed to do well on European roads, climbs, and descents. And cycling in the Pyrenees is a combination of beautiful, challenging, and ... developmental. My climbing speeds have improved as a consequence because (I think) one finds new thresholds, encouragement from the team, and just watching some of the leaders as they dance up a 11% gradient. It's inspiring. Peter Thomson runs a great operation and he's assembled a first-rate team. There's a positive attitude throughout and never a moment when I didn't think I was in good hands. Peter claims to be a man who likes a largely inflexible plan but he is, in fact, a pro at rolling with changes and challenges. Full points.

This trip met or exceeded every expectation my husband and I had! We do not have a lot of money, so this trip was a real "splurge" for us, and we are beyond glad we did it! Worth every penny! This was my 7th Thomson trip. They have been well organized. The staff is friendly,supportive and willing to help out with any issue. The TDF trips(3) have been my favorite, lots of energy and fun! I like the 3 ride levels as I'm a little older and it's nice to be able to ride with people of my level.

The experience exceeding my expectations, especially as it concerned watching the TDF stages in person. The level of support Thomson provided was extraordinary.

I would highly recommend Thomson Tours for any rider considering a bike trip. I think that the trip was professionally run and a great deal of thought was put into covering all aspects of the riding experience as well as the fan experience when watching the Tour stages. The daily briefings of what to expect for the following day were very helpful to decide which ride to do and know how to plan the day. I also thought that the non-riders were well taken care of and they had a great time. Knowing my wife was having a great time made it much easier to enjoy myself on the rides.

I had a great time on the KOM TDF Week 1 Trip. The staff and overall organization of the trip was on point. The TDF viewing areas were fantastic and made the trip special. Having tents, food, & Live race viewing on TV’s on top of the Tourmalet was exceptional. The daily routes offered an array of options for different level of riders. I was also impressed that the staff allowed us to ride in the pouring rain in the Basque Country. I thought that was a very special experience to be with a group riding bikes in the pouring rain in the Basque Country. Then cross the finish line of the TDF. One of the highlights of the trip for me. I would easily do another bike trip with Thomson!

We had discussed a trip of this nature for a few years, and finally made the commitment choosing Thomson Bike Tours. Even after that much time of anticipation, this trip was able to exceed my expectations. The rides were exceptional, the race viewing was exceptional, and the staff was exceptional. It was everything I expected and a lot more. All you have to do is turn the pedals. Everything else was handled for you.

When we researched this trip we kept reading that it was a "trip of a lifetime." We wondered how on earth Thomson could deliver on such an incredibly high bar. Then truly, this was the very best trip of a lifetime!! Our incredible guides helped us accomplish rides that we couldn't believe we could and did do! The guides were encouraging, hard-working, and always there whenever we needed them! They were truly what made this trip unbelievable. The planning for the rides was meticulous and the rides were so challenging but perfect! The guides also taught us so much, even though we are very seasoned cyclists. The ride up to the top of the Grand Columbier was life-changing. Watching the tour from the top was incredible. We've tried other bike tours, but we were disappointed when we found that they were full of people who were not serious about cycling. When I was telling a guide about our experience, she turned around and said "Welcome to Thomson!" Amen!

The support overall was excellent before, during and after each ride. Access to the race was more than I expected. A dream come true for an old TDF fan.

And how else could I see the Tour De France on three stops, front row....It was all amazing, and we are grateful.

Our Tour de France K/QOM week 2 trip totally lived up to our expectations of a dream vacation riding in France and being part of the crowd cheering on the pro riders. Thomson has top-notch staffing who make sure all riders are well-supported. The rental bikes were new and perfectly geared for the routes. Side note: I was happy that the E-bike riders were blended in with our group. I didn't realize that E-bikes didn't have to be as heavy and clunky looking as the ones I've seen around my town. It opened our eyes to the possibility that I could go on rides with my husband where we each have our own bike. We've been riding a DaVinci tandem for the past 20 years as our athletic abilities are so different. Plus, I found I had more in common (in regards to cycling) with the E-bike riders than those who were on traditional bikes. I was able to try out one of the E-bikes and loved it! Will you be selling any of your used E-bikes in the future? I may be a customer for one of them. :-) And last, please thank all of the team for accomodating me as a rider who was well out of my element even though the trip website noted that riders of varying abilities were welcomed. I knew that that the climbs were not a possibility for me on the non-E-bike trip and that I'd be braking a lot on the downhills. I rode very few miles, but still had a good biking experience. I met my goal of being on the same roads as the tour riders even if a good deal of the time I was riding in the van. The drivers and ride leaders helped me participate while staying in my comfort zone and they helped me improve my skills without neglecting any of the other riders. Thank you for making this such a special week!

The rides were epic, both in name & as experienced. The French Alps might be the most beautiful setting in the world! The ride leaders were fun, friendly, & provided physical & emotional assistance as needed. Access to the finish line, podium, & departure village provided exciting encounters on course & with the racers.

A truly life-changing trip of a lifetime. It was mind-blowing to ride the same roads as the competitors and glide over their painted names, below the official Sprint and KoM arches and through the cheering crowds. "I lived a dream, that I didn't even know I was dreaming!" At a time in my life when I was feeling beaten down, this tour opened to an experience that was truly epic, at the most perfect timing for me. I don't remember how I even found this tour company. When I heard about the Tour de France Femmes racing, it was something I felt I wanted to be apart of. I was not able to make the first year of Tour de France Femmes, but the second-year life seemed to open this availability to me. The Thomson tour for Tour de France Femmes was absolutely amazing. The scenery was so captivating. The detail in the roads we were riding on, the accommodations, food, getting to the Tour de France Femmes races, the guides with all their support was out of this world. The guides were so inspiring with their abilities, their love for what they were doing, their constant encouragement and praise. My riding skills have increased tremendously since this tour. It has given me more confidence in my own abilities of cycling, caring for my bike, and even welcoming new languages. The Thomsons EPIC Trans-Alps ticks all the boxes. Massively challenging, great climbs in a beautiful region, a superb support crew who enjoy the trip as much as the participants, and excellent hotels. It's a very well organised tour that ensures the riders thoroughly enjoy the entire experience.

My second trip with Thomson and the staff and service were again second to none! The scenery of the Swiss Alps cannot be beat. Beautiful roads on challenging climbs and exhilarating descents, day after stunning day!

The Epic Swiss trip adhered to the Thomson formula: good hotels, good food, amazing riding. The staff did an excellent job supporting the riders throughout the trip which to me is the most valuable aspect of a Thomson trip.

I had recently retired, after 28 years as a firefighter/paramedic, and this was a retirement gift. This trip delivered a very challenging week, but also very rewarding to know the accomplishments made during the trip. This trip was filled with everything I could ask for. Nice accommodations, great support and perfectly curated ride routes through magnificent country. This trip checked all the boxes and left me with a great experience.

The Swiss Alps were part glamour, part scenery but certainly very challenging. The rides were well studied with an excellent ratio of distance/climbing.

Gran Canaria is a fantastic Island to ride in the early season. The climbs are challenging and the views spectacular. The Thomson crew made the trip fantastic and fun. I would definitely join them again in the future.

An amazing trip on of all types of gravel mixed with just the right amount of tarmac. The route was exceptional and traversed through stunning Scottish scenery. Along with the great Thomson support makes Gravel Scotland an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!

This was my twelfth ride with Thomson, although my first gravel ride (and my first ride without Peter being there). Scotland gravel is a great ride through beautiful countryside. It was the perfect mix of smooth roads and challenging gravel. Riding with Ada and the other staff members was like riding with friends. It might just be my favorite ride so far. Thank you Peter for the great intro your homeland.

Stimulation overload in a good way. A years worth of epic Gravel rides squeezed into one week. I didn’t realize there were so many different versions of “middle of nowhere” scenery. It was wonderful.

When Peter says it’s Epic he means it! Every ride was an Epic experience.

Peter and his crew uncovered roads that were a delight to climb and descend, through areas of Sardinia that gave a flavor of the diverse landscapes one can encounter there. The food was delicious! The Thomson experience on Sardinia left me thoroughly enchanted by this island and its people. Grazie mille!!

My trip was not great due to me getting some sort of a flu bug or Giardia which greatly impacted my riding. I was unable to eat during the rides and was very weak, I had to sit out some of the riding which was very hard for me but necessary. The people on the trip were all super fun and easy to get along with. The staff was superb, they obviously all love their jobs and did everything they could to make our experience great. Sardinia was an amazing destination, I would go back there again in a second. The roads were fabulous., the climbs and descents were challenging but so much fun and the lack of traffic was just pleasurable.

Sardinia was a truly an epic adventure in every sense of the way. The roads with little to no traffic. Fantastic climbs and descents. Visually stunning mountains to ride up and over and through. Amazing shorelines. Great riding, new friends, fantastic food and wine. I could not ask for a better road cycling trip! I would come back in a heartbeat.

The Epic Trans-Pyrenees is precisely what I want from a guided overseas cycling trip. As someone living in the United States, making the trek across the Atlantic is not something I can do more than once or twice a year, and when doing so I want to be able to focus on what I love: riding up epic Cols! Testing myself on some of the legendary TDF climbs is a dream come true, a dream made logistically simple and stress-free by this guided itinerary. The atmosphere created by the staff on this trip was truly wonderful!

This is my first experience with Thomson and it was excellent. I had a strong recommendation from my close friend David Pick who has been on many. I definitely plan to attend more trips in the future and also want to inquire about planning a larger private trip through Thomson within the next few years.

This was my first Thomson trip and overall it was a 10 out of 10. The guides were truly amazing and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of in every way possible. I am definitely a satisfied customer and will be back for more.

The support and organisation of TBT for this trip was excellent, although the weather could have been better! The Ride Leader and Guides managed to bring about a successful outcome for everyone.

I've never experienced anything quite like this trip. I didn't know that any tour company combined big, challenging rides with first-class accommodations; usually it's one or the other. I'm an avid cyclist and no stranger to cycling tours. I'm easy to please, but I often find that the rides are too short or the accommodations are sub-par. This was my first Thomson Tour. I had always heard "you have to try Thomson." I picked Portugal, bc it's off the beaten track. The rides were incredible, with beautiful, minimally-trafficked roads, and jaw dropping scenery. Torre was a highlight for me! Socked in with clouds up top but that made it even more epic! Throughout the entire trip, the weather did not cooperate. It rained almost every day, some days hard, pounding, sideways rain. It's Fall in Portugal so you have to expect some of that. I was wet and cold a lot, which of course, makes everything a bit harder. But everything else on the trip was so incredibly on-point and top notch...the guides, the routes, the service, the hotels and food...that I spent the entire first morning post-trip searching for my next Thomson Tour! I had a wonderful time! I know you know this, but you offer something completely unique in cycling travel! Tough rides w/ high-end experiences! I'm hooked and cannot wait for my next trip!

We finally completed the Epic Trans Dolomites which we have talked about for years. The cycling and views were everything we hoped for and more. This is a must do trip for any avid cyclist, especially those that enjoy serious climbing.

Morocco was a beautiful, amazing place to visit. The people were warm and friendly. The food was amazing. As always, the Thomson staff was top notch. The Xaluca staff exceeded expectations. There's a reason why we return to Thomson for our cycling adventures!

The Morocco gravel trip was probably the very best way to see Morocco. We saw areas of Morocco that aren't on any typical Moroccan tour as well as some of the fun and popular tourist attractions.

If you want to see A LOT of Morocco, from the big city to the desert, from back alleys to the back of a camel, then this is the trip for you. The Xaluca hotels, meals, and hospitality will blow you away. The guides are first class and in a league of their own. They are fun, funny, and great riders. Don't let the shorter mileage and lack of elevation fool you. This is not a gravel ride for beginners. Due to the terrain, these rides are harder than you might guess. But if you want to see Morocco by bike, I can't imagine that there is a better trip to take or a better company to take it with.

This was an amazing trip for so many reasons. The people, the accommodations, the learning, the dinners and breakfasts. I would recommend this to anyone who is a serious rider and who has some background in mtn biking, cyclocross, and/or has great bike handling skills. This is not a trip for a pure roadie or someone who expects for it to be smooth gravel or even chunky gravel.

Exceeded my expectations! I would do a Thomson tour in the future.

The Thomson team are beyond professional, they are knowledgeable, fun and extremely helpful. Our needs were fulfilled and nothing was ever too much trouble. The vehicle/SAG support and team mechanics are top notch, I really felt peace of mind at all times. The daily routes were both excellent and challenging, & the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I will absolutely be riding with Thomson again! Bravo!

This was our first trip with Thompson but we have done several self guided bike tours as well as supported bike trips in the past. This was the biggest group by far, but everything was so well organized starting with the communication about booking. The support provided before/during and after each ride was amazing and the ride leaders were so calm and helpful. Will be booking another trip with Thomson for sure. Thank you for a wonderful week!

I've been on 4 group tours, some with as many as 15 guests, and this was first to have more than 2 guides. What a difference it makes in the experience. I got to challenge myself riding with a stronger group, and also have the relaxation of an easier group. I never felt that I was inhibiting the overall group by not being able to keep up since there were enough guides to take 3 groups on our trip. The mechanical support was excellent as well. I also appreciated the planning details. Each meal was a different experience, but also well suited to the nutritional needs of our rides. I I felt so taken care of on the snack and lunch stops. On my previous tours I almost felt I went hungry at times, but not on this trip.

The staff made the trip so enjoyable. Tuscany was absolutely amazing and all the work that the crew performed allowed me to fully enjoy the experience.

The Thomson team is second to none. The rides and scenery were spectacular but the staff is what sets Thomson apart from other cycling tours. They are professional, efficient, encouraging and so much fun! As a customer you immediately feel like part of the Thomson family! I cannot wait for my next cycling adventure!

One of the greatest vacations, it will never be forgotten. This was our second organized cycling trip, but our first with Thomson. They set the standard on what to expect moving forward. We are now customers for life, if they’ll have us. The route was perfectly curated to be challenging, fun, but obtainable. The structure of the week gave us not just riding time, but time to explore the amazing towns we visited. Set to make us feel like pro riders, the day was structured as such. A daily briefing outlining what to expect on the next ride. This briefing was spot on every day. We were told at the beginning, gravel vert is a +/- because of data. This was clearly communicated which meant I worked on distance. The hotels were nice. For the price they were amazing. I would definitely look to do a private trip with upscale hotels and dining. But the choice, for cost was great. Food was endless and good. On or off the bike, we were feed constantly. I took my own bike. I was nervous as to if this was the right call. It was the right cal for me. They make it super easy to set up, transport, support, and pack away. Normally I am in a hotel room putting a bike together improvising bike stands from furniture, hoping I didn’t forget a tool. With Thomson they have multiple bike stands, and multiple bike tool kits. Nothing was missing. Lots of time, and support to set up. It was like a pro team. However, the crew is what truly sets this operation apart. Our group leader Sergi, was professional, and knowledgeable about not just the trip, but the surrounding history as well. A smiling face and a British sense of humor. I can only imagine how hard that is with all he had going on to keep us on track. Aitor was the best bike mechanic I have ever met. Kind, and unflappable, throughout the week my bike fell apart. I was embarrassed, he just fixed it, and got me riding. Never made me feel anything but like a pro rider, which I am not in anyway. Ada, This lady is not just the best at her job on this team, but maybe the best person I have ever seen at any job. The organization of this kind of trip is endless. Ada had a way of being everywhere, and seeing everything, with out ever making you feel like she was in your way. Never not smiling, but seeing and predicting everyone’s needs. When she was sag support, which is not easy, it was perfection. The should write the training book based on skills as sag. Nils, a young and passionate brand ambassador. Kind, funny, and super fun to ride with! The other Sergi, team OPEN. I’m not sure he understood me, or me him, but I could talk and ride with this guy all day long. He had a way of making a dope like me feel so happy when riding my bike. I am the worst descender in the world. Old people walk past me faster. On one particularly gravel rutted down him Sergi appeared. He had not been on the ride to that point. He gave advice, pulled me out of a hedge, and stayed with me making me feel safe, but never inept, which I am! Then at the bottom of the hill, as if by magic he disappeared!! Unbelievable. This sums up the service you get. Oversight always, there when needed, but never in your face, always positive, always capable. These are some of the attributes that I noticed and can put into words. But there are so many more, so many it would take more time than I have to list. This is not an easy job, the guests alone make it a nightmare. Then add in weather, bikes, traffic, locals, hotel staff, oh and stupid people :) Un yet no matter what, they were smiling, professional, and always with a solution. Thank you for making our trip perfect. See you in France!!

Tired so not feeling too creative this evening, but I have enjoyed each of the trips so far and appreciate the planning and logistics is takes to move around this many people and squeeze in as many big climbs. I will likely look for something in the spring....if I can find one with warmer weather than Flanders. :)

Guides were beyond amazing. My wife and I have done a bunch of Backroads trips and really enjoyed them. I think Thomson really excelled at having great guides, and great support for cycling challenges. I will do more with you.

Sardinia was a great adventure. We got lucky with spectacular weather that let us enjoy all the stunning scenery. Peter and team found some amazing backroads that took us off the beaten track, but even when we were on the main roads there was very little traffic, and the drivers were respectful. And at the end of our rides, the hotels and dinners the team had arranged were excellent.

After 2 Thomson trips we are definitely coming back for more. We love the riding-centric approach, and (most of) the climbing! Sardinia is stunningly beautiful, fairly quiet, and far more mountainous than we realized. It’s perfect for a Thomson ride. And the Thomson staff are wonderful - we have been well looked-after on both trips.

We loved riding in Sardinia. The weather was perfect, the roads were fabulous and there was very little traffic. Beautiful vistas every day in all directions. Thomson did a great job of supporting all levels of riders and the routes provided many options. “Let’s go again”!

Another great Thomson Tour. It's wonderful to experience new parts of the world from a bicycle and not have to worry about some of the associated logistics involved. Using TBT also opens longer, more remote routes than you would otherwise be comfortable doing on your own since food and water are only a van stop away.

The VIP Sardinia tour operated by Peter Thomson, and his crew was a challenging and rewarding trip. The riders were all motivated and kind spirits. This is a good way to spend a week away from everything and yet to exercise vigorously with like minded people who only want to ride and feel alive.

Remarkably professional in all aspects. the team consistently managed to respond to the desires of each client, employing van support and additional team leaders to address varying needs. great van support, great efforts by the mechanics and fantastic attitude of ride leaders. the great weather didn't hurt, either!! thanks again

What a beautiful country and amazing experience to see behind the scenes on the Tour de France! This was a bucket list trip and fulfilled our expectations for what a trip like this could be. We had a really good group of rides, we had a really good group of leaders and everyone was so fun to ride with! We originally planned on doing this trip with another couple, one of whom was a non-rider so we signed up for the non-riders welcome group. We could have done the riders only group but in hindsight, we’re glad we joined this group because we met so many great people!!

The whole tour was fantastic. So well organized and the rides were challenging but magnificent. All of the staff were so supportive and friendly. I don’t believe you could improve on the high standards delivered and I will definitely look no further than Thomson for future tours. Thanks for an awesome experience!!

A lifetime experience. Thomson focuses on cycling first with quality rides that pushed my fitness efforts to achieve new climbing personal bests in a unpressured manner. Not a casual tour for occasional cyclists, this is for enthusiasts looking to conquer the famed cols at an attainable pace. Thomson pre-ride communication is excellent, providing pre-ride fitness consultation and information as required. Qualified, friendly support staff remove the pressures of a self-supported ride over unfamiliar territory.

This trip surpassed my expectations. We rode through spectacular landscapes with superior ride leaders who knew how to support a broad spectrum of riders. We were also immersed in Tour de France action and were lucky to see the pro teams when they were our for their rest day rides. Truly a trip of a lifetime.

I had this trip on my to-do list for almost 20 years but kept putting it off because I have never been a fan of guided vacations. Peter and his team turned my opinion on its head. This trip was better than I could have expected in every way. The hotels and food were excellent, the days were well-planned and organized, and the staff was friendly, sincere and enthusiastic. I can't say where my next trip will be, but I am quite sure it will be in the hills somewhere with Peter's team.

Best. Trip. Ever. Being able to be in the "heart" of the Tour de France and ride the same epic climbs as the pros was amazing. When I later watched the pros tackle those same climbs, it was awesome to be able to really appreciate the grimaces on their faces. And then to top it off with actually being at the finish line or watching from the roadside of a climb as the pros came through took things to the next level. From start to finish Thomson Bike Tours gave me an experience and memories I will never forget - I already cannot wait to come back.

The ride over the finish line with the spectators encouraging us, is an experience I will never forget. After the first two days, I was not sure about my ability to complete the rides. After the forth day I was thinking I can do this. The team leaders were a huge help changing my perception of what I could do on the climbs.

Cycling vegans, have no fear. Thomson Bike Tours provided me with excellent vegan meals and snacks without fail to fuel many enjoyable miles over the 6-day Pyrenees Challenge. The only animal suffering was me over the tall mythical mountains of Tour de France legend. Off the bike, I was pampered with excellent mechanical support, a comfy hotel, and cheerful companionship from the other riders and support staff. One highlight was the quiet beauty of the climb to Parc des National Pyrenees. Conversely, another highlight was crossing the finish line at Peyragudes just a few hours before the Tour surrounded by the roaring cheers of impatient cycling fans. Highly recommend!

It was an experience of a lifetime for my cyclist husband, which was my goal in booking it as a 50th birthday gift for him. Incomparable access to the Tour de France, especially the Hautacam day. We met so many nice people, and the guides were excellent (Maria and Manuel, in particular).

This trip surpassed my expectations. Even as a non-rider who was trying to ride, I received a lot of encouragement from the team. The Thomson team is experienced, fun and a great group of people to spend time with. The Tour de France Trip has to be a bucket list trip for anyone who loves to ride and loves the Tour.

Friendliest, most helpful and knowledgeable ride leaders, mechanics and van support (many people performed all 3 roles) made getting up multiple “hors categories” mountain passes possible, fun and unforgettable. Tour de France experience was up close and a once in a lifetime experience.

For a rider that lives the Tour de France and has always dreamed of riding the mountain routes, this trip did not disappoint. The knowledgeable team leaders were perfect to help guide us through each challenge. Thomson’s VIP access and mountain experiences were well done and gave us prime viewing access. The staff treated us like royalty.

This was one of my all-time favorite trips ever! The cycling was challenging & the scenery beautiful. The crew always took care of everything- very friendly, considerate, & fun. After the final ride, I told them I was going to quit my normal life & join them! Literally can’t wait to sign-up for my next Thomson Tour!

It was magic. I had dreamed of such an experience for twenty years, so my expectations were extraordinarily high as they are with any dream. But, riding up famous climbs in the Pyrenees and on Tour de France routes, viewing the race just feet from the riders, being immersed in the French countryside, and visiting with Thomson staff were wonderful beyond my expectations. It was a glorious experience that I will treasure. During the trip, I shared a selfie with friends at home. They said, "You look so happy!" I was and am. It was magic.

Had a really great time. Was so cool to do the same courses as the pros on the same days. Iconic climbs and great descents. Having the support vehicles and preplan route was really convenient and just let you turn up and ride.

This was an amazing trip. I travelled on my own and was not sure how I would find this - the level of the other cyclists in the group, or the overall experience. It far, far, far exceeded my expectations. Everything was perfect. I can honestly say it was the experience of a lifetime. Peter and the whole team were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble. The people I met on the trip will, I hope, be lifelong friends. I would do this again trip again in a heartbeat! I've been back home for 12 days now and I still find that the memories and emotions are still so vivid and make the hairs on my neck stand out!

This is my second trip to Tenerife with Thomson and I will go again. The rides are challenging, the roads are in great condition, the scenery is beautiful and diverse-from volcanic lava deserts to rainforests-and the traffic is minimal. All this, and at the end of the day you are at a luxurious seaside resort where you can sleep by a quiet pool before enjoying a fantastic meal. The rooms are clean, spacious and well-appointed. Looking forward to my next visit to Tenerife with Thomson!

This was an early season camp. The riding was hard but this is what it is meant to be! The staff are amazing and encouraging. It keeps me coming back for more.

I couldn't think of a better way to ride and watch many of the Spring Classic monuments. Great people, amazing riding, good camaraderie, and an overall incredible Spring Classics experience. The VIP access to the events was first class. One of my most memorable bike trip experiences for sure.

I enjoyed this trip tremendously. It provided challenge, adventure, great food and company. The photo opportunities were endless, from natural rock formations, fields of flowers to mountains and villages. The history and culture of the area is fascinating from Moorish influence to Picasso. The staff and support were excellent.
