Experience the intensity, fervor and excitement of a Tour de France stage finish as close to the line as possible. The official luxury VIP spaces will allow you to watch the finish of the race from the front row with catering, drinks and VIP broadcast of the race to keep you entertained.

You will get so close that you will become part of the greatest race on earth. In the eye of the storm on the most famous climbs of the Tour – riding, watching and celebrating a sporting event like no other.

Our race viewing vantage points are the ideal place to watch the finale unfold. After riding the day’s final climb and crossing the finish line you will descend a few KMs to our waiting marquees. Watch the stage unfold live on TVs in the comfort of the shade (or out of the rain!) and enjoy good food and fridges full of cold beer and soft drinks.

As the publicity caravan approaches it’s time to take your place on the roadside. Cheer for your heroes as they race by and onwards to the finish, which unlike your mountainside compatriots, you won’t miss.

The Tour de France is a magnificent spectacle for television; low flying helicopters capture the madness of mountain sides lined with passionate fans. Motos follow riders through a tunnel of flags, cheers and smoke flares in an electric atmosphere unique to the race.

You can share that experience first hand, riding over the paint decorated roads fenced by endless motorhomes, encouraged by the fans and over the Official Finish Line. Buoyed by your efforts we’ll then whisk you off to the Official Podium, where the race winners will stand just hours, for your own photoshoot. This amazing opportunity will preserve forever the unforgettable moment when you road like a pro.

Road or E-Bike

FEEL THE POWER WITH E-BIKE RENTAL

Flatten the hills and laugh at headwinds. Our E-Bike trips offer the thrill of the Tour de France to cyclists of all abilities. Our dedicated crew of e-bike mechanics and specialists provide professional support before, during and after the ride. If you want to ride an e-bike, but a friend or partner rides an analog bike, you would choose the e-bike trip. Road bikes are available to rent, or you can bring your own, on all our e-bike trips. Rides are similar in distance and difficulty level to the ‘Performance’ route on our road bike trips.

THREE FULLY SUPPORTED DAILY RIDES

On our road bike trips we offer three fully supported rides each day – from 20km to 175km (12 miles to 110 miles). No matter your fitness level, our extensive ride programme has you covered. Perfect for couples who love to ride but have different fitness levels.

WHY SEPARATE TRIPS?

We take e-bikes seriously, which means giving them the extra attention they require. To create the most successful trip possible, our e-bike trips have been designed specifically with e-bikes in mind. These machines need specific support; from the vans that transport them to the e-bike mechanics and tools that keep them running in perfect condition. Even the hotels have to be selected carefully to be able to cater for storage and charging.

Legendary Climbs

Every year our guests cover enough distance to lap the Earth, twice. Climbing an average of 1.5 times the elevation of Everest on every trip, across ten countries across the world, we introduce cyclists to the challenge and accomplishment of conquering mountains both famous and little known. You simply can’t fit more climbs into a trip.

Our ride programs introduce you to the greatest roads in cycling, not just the wonderful roads on this year’s Tour de France route, but the legendary climbs in the region. You can tick off each of the best mountains in the Alps and Pyrenees as well as riding on the race route itself.

Ride Programs for all Abilities

We offer three fully supported rides each day 20 miles to 75+ miles. No matter your fitness level, our extensive ride programme has you covered. Perfect for couples who love to ride but have different fitness levels. Choose the Sport programme when the day looks too tough, choose Epic when you want a ‘no holds barred’ challenge. For everything else, there’s the Performance group. The perfect mix of challenging routes that suit most riders.

Our world class support enables dedicated cyclists to focus on the ride and conquer their ambitions. With a 1:3 staff to guest ratio we can promise our guests all the attention they need to triumph in their own accomplishments. Our professional guides, mechanics and support van drivers are the envy of the mountain.

Non-riding Programs

Managed by the Thomson Non-Rider Guide, non-riding guests have their own dedicated program, including guided visits and cultural activities. Live Tour de France viewing is at the heart of the non-riders itinerary, this is why you’re coming after all. Enjoy the same VIP access to stage starts and finishes as well as front row seats to the race itself.

We have three Tour de France trips to choose from; the Grand Depart in Bilbao which goes on to the Pyrenees, the Alps in week 2 and then week 3 Alps with Paris extension. In each trip you can expect to immerse yourself in the best local culture and site seeing. Sample local cuisine, enjoy a luxury spa, visit a chocolate factory or ancient caves — the fun is endless!
