Overview
Over the years, Mallorca has become the mecca for road cyclists looking for spectacular and challenging rides, combined with Spanish hospitality and the warm Mediterranean climate.
Whereas most cycling camps stay in just one hotel, restricting access to only a few of the top rides on the island, by staying in two different hotels, we’re able to offer you ALL the top rides on the island. You’ll ride the entire Sierra de Tramontana, from Formentor in the north-east corner to the Port d’Andratx in the south-west. You’ll conquer Sa Calobra, Coll de sa Batalla, Coll de la Creueta, Coll d’Orient, Cap de Formentor and many more famous climbs as you cross the entire Sierra de Tramontana.
Discover why Mallorca has become such a playground for road cyclists with the best itinerary the island has to offer – only with Thomson!
Tip: The EPIC MALLORCA CAMP and the MALLORCA CAMP are fully interchangeable, so you can enjoy the shorter route one day and switch to the EPIC the next, or vice versa. The two trips run side by side, with everyone staying in the same hotels, sharing the same staff, and having breakfasts and dinners together. The ONLY difference lies in your choice of daily route: the slightly shorter route with less elevation, or the EPIC route which offers a longer ride with more climbs.

Day 1

Welcome to Mallorca!
Your Cycling Camp starts at Palma de Mallorca Airport where our staff will meet you before the short transfer to your hotel in Alcudia.
After lunch, an orientation meeting and bike build-up, you’ll head out for your first ride in Mallorca, with a gentle warm-up around the Bay of Pollença and down to the turquoise waters in Cala san Vicenç.
Day 2
Distance
Elevation
Coll de sa Batalla
The first of your rides has truly magnificent views of the island! You’ll start with a 20km of flat to the village of Campanet where the gradient starts to pick up, signalling the first of 3 short climbs before reaching the town of Selva. In Selva you’ll start your first major climb in Mallorca, the 10km climb to the Col de sa Batalla. From Sa Batalla, you’ll have a few km of rolling terrain before the long descent to Pollença and back to your hotel in Alcudia.
Day 3
Distance
Elevation
Sa Collobra
Today is the first of your longer rides. and features the most famous and most spectacular climb on the island: Sa Calobra.
The ride starts with a magnificent rolling route for 20km before the 7km climb to the Coll de Femenia. From the Femenia, the route continues to the highest point of the ride, the Coll dels Reis, where you’ll descend to the seaside village of Sa Colobra. What goes down must go back up – and after a short break by the beach you’re soon climbing the legendary Sa Calobra switchbacks, the most stunning climb on the island.
Day 4
Distance
Elevation
Cap de Formentor
A shorter ride today to recover from yesterday’s big effort, and the last of your longer rides tomorrow! It may be short, but this is a truly spectacular ride and reached Number 4 in our company Founder’s – Peter Thomson – Top 30 rides.
The ride starts with a beautiful road around the Bay of Pollença to Port Pollença and then on along the stunning road that winds its way to Cap Formentor, the northernmost point of Mallorca, with breathtaking views across the island. Then it’s back to Alcudia and a well-earned rest at your hotel pool or perhaps a visit to the beach!
Day 5
Distance
Elevation
Across the Tramontana Mountains to Andratx
Today’s ride take you across the Sierra de Tramontana to your next destination, the stylish port and fishing town of Port d’Andratx, which many consider to have the most beautiful harbour in the Mediterranean. The ride itself is just stunning, with country lanes leading into twisty mountain roads and magnificent landscapes along the entire route. You’ll also have a few hills to contend with, including the Coll d’Orient, the Coll d’Honor and the Coll des Grau. A magnificent day in the saddle with some of the best cycling Mallorca has to offer, and our second hotel conveniently at the end of the ride in gorgeous Port d’Andratx.
Day 6
Distance
Elevation
Port des Canonge
Another magnificent ride that heads north from Port d’Andratx to follow Mallorca’s dramatic, western coastline to the Port des Canonge. There’s no flat today, just a series of short climbs and fun descents all the way along this spectacular coastline. Have your phone ready, there are stunning photos at every bend in the road!
Day 7
