Overview

Our trip to the best of Week 2 of La Vuelta a España provides a fantastic mix of LIVE race-viewing and challenging rides on the legendary routes and climbs in Asturias.

During the 6-day trip you’ll ride 3 of the most challenging and iconic climbs in Spain: the Angliru, La Farrapona and the Gamoniteiru. You’ll ride ahead of the peloton on race-day on both the Angliru and La Farrapona. The Gamoniteiru isn’t included in this year’s route but we couldn’t  spend a few days in Asturias and not climb this spectacular climb, last included in La Vuelta in 2021 when Migel Angel Lopez won the stage ahead of Primoz Roglič.

You’ll witness 2 of the key mountain stages: Stage 13 on the Angliru and Stage 14 on La Farrapona, where you’ll have the unque opportunity to ride across the Finish Line, followed by a photo shoot on the official podium.

There’s also the opportunity to meet the riders and the teams in the VIP area at the start of Stage 15 in Vegadeo.

An intense few days filled with thrilling race-viewing and stunning rides. No-one does La Vuelta like Thomson!

Bienvenidos a España

Our trip to the Final 10 days of La Vuelta starts at Asturias Airport, where our staff will meet you before the transfer to your first hotel  in Las Caldas. After checking into the hotel we’ll have our Orientation Meeting followed by lunch, then our mechanics will be on hand to help you get the bikes ready for the first ride.

Our warm-up ride takes you high into the hills above Las Caldas, over the Cruz de Linares climb, which hosted the Finish of Stage 18 of the 2023 Vuelta a España, with Belgian rider Remco Evenopoel first across the Finish Line. The KOM is held by American rider Sepp Kuss in a time of 24:04. How close can you get…???
